SENIORS RD 2, 2025 recap

BBB RND 2 - BROKEN HEAD

Hello everyone,

We hope everyone has been enjoying the recent swell! The second round of the Seniors occurred at Broken Head on February 23rd, where competitors encountered tricky and challenging 3-4 ft conditions. The day featured a notable amount of sweep and shifting banks, along with a surge of blue bottles in the afternoon as onshore winds picked up, leading some competitors to withdraw. Despite this, the waves provided ample walls and sections, with a few barrels available for those in the right position. As you can see from the images, there was some really good surfing going down.

Congratulations to Duke Wrencher for his outstanding performance, claiming victories in both the under 21’s and open divisions. Also it was epic to see Kieren Perrow and Danny Wills back in action, representing the Boardriders once again, thanks lads.

As always a big thank you to Mark for conducting yet another laid-back competition, and to all who contributed to the setup, pack down, judging, cooking, and for being such a fun crew to spend the day with.

Next round is currently scheduled for March 16th, see ya there!
