Epic day for Junior Club Round 6 last Sunday!!!
We had great waves for the kids all day, with standout performances from Joel Miller in the Boys Under 12s, Koa Cochrane in the Boys Parent Assist, and Rosie Gallagher in the Girls Under 9s. We have one more event scheduled for the year in mid-October, and many divisions are still up for grabs. Stay tuned for updates, and please support the club at the Kirra Teams event next weekend! 😎😎

The Juniors Round 4 for 2024 was held last Sunday at Broken Head on the beach break in clean but slow and shifting 2-3ft conditions.
Highlights for the day were Koa Grono-Cochrane taking out his first win in the junior parent assist!!!
The impressive performance of the 12s girls final 1st Jeddah Rutiger 2nd Eve Joliffe 3rd Harper Meyer. Girls were ripping in big waves, scores were so close!!
Mattiah Berbotto on fire in the 12s boys and a huge result for Tobias Sutton making his first final 🔥🔥🔥
.25 points seperating the top 3 in the under 9s boys. Congratulations to Ari Lowe on another win. Big shout out to Harry Cranfield for his best result in 2nd and Ren Dolgna 3rd

Seniors Round 4 for 2024 was held last Sunday at Broken Head Point in dreamy yet consistent 2-3 ft light offshore, clear blue sky conditions. The competitors were stoked, the waves were pumping, and the point was dishing up long walls with little to no crowds to deal with most of the day.
Big congrats to the winners of each division who were ripping all day - Garrett Parkes in the Open Men's, Andy Bailey in the Men's Over 50’s, Bryce Cameron in the Men's Over 35s, Josh Thomas in the Boys Under 18’s, and Leihani Zoric for taking out both the Open Women's & Girls Under 18’s.
Also, big thanks to Mark Brindley for running the show and all the crew who hung out and helped out. It was a pretty fun day of surfing!

The Juniors Round 3 for 2024 was held last Sunday at Broken Head under tricky conditions initially, with high tides in the morning. However, as the tide dropped, we moved to the point, which provided some long, fun walls with mostly offshore winds for the groms.
A couple of highlights from the day included Ari Lowe's first big win in the Under-9 boys', and we had a couple of perfect 10s scored by Levi Lowe and Jarrah Lorente, well done guys!

With punchy and walled-up lefts and rights on offer and even the odd barrel, competitors had good options to work with to get solid scores. What an awesome weekend, great to kick off the 2024 Suffolk Park Hotel Seniors Round 1 in pumping waves at Broken Head.
We would like to thank all our members for turning up and a huge welcome to all our new members. It was also great to see all families, partners and friends come down and enjoy the action! The level of surfing was through the roof in all divisions, congratulations to all our winners. Great to see everyone helping set up, judging, cooking and packing up, it’s much appreciated!! We can’t wait for Round 2.
Also, special thanks to Brooksy and his team at Gold Cape Electrical for tricking the BBB comp van out with solar, new comp lights, charging stations for the Ipads & the ability to run a TV.

Epic start to the BBB year! Juniors club round 1 was held in great waves at the Wreck. The new trailer couldn’t have been closer to the action and all the judges were blown away by the level of surfing this year!! Huge thanks to Mark Brindley and Ben Joliffe for all their hard work and help with the trailer on the day.
It was day out for the siblings with the Barron sisters both getting a win and Cooper/Isla Cameron taking the win in their divisions. Jay Miller beat 24 competitors in the 9s boys and Zimmy O’rourke got her first win!!

Epic conditions for our 5th round of the juniors. We started off with the 14s boys/girls and the 12s boys battling it out at Derek’s. Solid fast waves on offer and it was great to see Dare Smith take his first win for the year in the 12s boys. While Malia Barron and Benji Wright continued their strong form on the 14s…

We then had all hands on deck helping move the whole competition setup south to Broken Point where the conditions were perfect for all our Parent assist divisions.
Rosie Barron won the junior girls with epic surfing at such a young age, Levi Lowe got the win in the junior boys with his impressive backhand display and Cooper Cameron nailed the under 9s boys getting rewarded for all his time spent practicing out the point.

BBB junior club round 2 was held in epic conditions for the kids at Broken Head on Sunday, March 26th.

We kicked off with Halo Banfield taking out the girls 14s with some solid off the lip surfing. Jenson Faulks took out the 14s boys with a dominant display of smooth rail to rail surfing. Other winners on the day were Jaya Suhendra 12s boys, Amelia Miller girls parent assist, Curren Duffy under 9s and Mattia Berbotto junior boys parent assist. The club could not be happier with the standard of surfing shown on Sunday!! See you at the beach soon!!

We kicked off 2023, Seniors Round 1 with some really fun waves at Broken Head. It was great to be back, we had stunning weather all day. It was an impressive day, all divisions putting on a clinic! We had a total of 65 surfers, a fantastic turn out, a few new faces which is always good.

The man in Blue, Jhamil was victorious in the open Men, Poppy Morison getting the chocolates in the Womens Open and U18, Kav Macaphee getting his first win U18 Boys, the tube pig, Linton taking out the O35's, Collette Duffy showing the hubby how to win and Matthew McEwan winning the O50's.
